Let's find out about Bezos's life through this animation Jeff Bezos was born on January 12, 1964, in Albuquerque, New Mexico His mother was a minor at the time of his birth He was only 18 months old when his biological father left him and his mother destitute. He was 4 years old when his mother married a second time. He studied under the guidance of his stepfather. He was very interested in electronics since childhood. To avoid the entrance of his brother in his room without the information he had developed an electric alarm at his house. He was in the fourth grade when the computer came to his school At that time no teacher knew how to operate a computer That's why Jeff and some of his colleagues learned to study computers by reading manual Further in college due to his interest in computer he took a degree in computer science and electrical engineering from Princeton University in 1986 And after that, he worked in some different companies of Wall Street In few years, He got an excellent grip on his work and become Senior vice president in an investment company called D.E. Shaw in 1990 at very young age After working 4 years in that company Due to increasing demand of internet, One day he came up with the idea of E-commerce business Soon after having that thought.
He took risk of leaving a very good job in 1994 and come to Seattle First of all he decided to open an online book store And with the starting capital of 3 Lakh dollars received from his parents He started to work in his garage with only 3 computers and staff and started making the software of his company After a few months of hard work, he prepared a website for testing, First of all, he tested his website with around 300 friends And on getting all right, he launched his website on July 16, 1995, named Amazon.com The name Amazon is named after the South American largest river called Amazon From the beginning amazon got a very good response within a month he started selling books in 50 US states and 45 other countries. But the work was not easy The books had to be packed on the ground by the knees and many times had to go to give parcels While packing books, One day Jeff asked his colleague Do you know how to make this work easy?’ Colleague replied, ‘Yes, we should put pillow under our knees’ Jeff bezos Laughed and next day he purchased few tables to pack books on it Bezos hard work started showing result and total selling of books reached $20000 per week until September The business of amazon began to rise rapidly In 1997, the IPO of amazon was listed in the stock market Slowly amazon started selling other products such as CDs, videos, clothes, electronics, toys apart from books In the 90's, many other Dot com also came in the field but still amazon's sale kept rising and amazon's identity established as "The best at the cheapest" In 1999, Amazon launched its first international website Despite the heavy sale in amazon, the company was not in profit due to its low margin policy But in 2001 the company was first time profited They estimated it in beginning that it would take up to 5 years to get profit By 2007, Amazon became well known website of online with countless products But a significant turn came in the company's history when in 2007 they launched the e-book reader, called Amazon Kindle in market Through which the book could be downloaded and read immediately This caused huge profits to the company This led to increase in the sales of Kindle, as well the sales of books also increased which can be read by Kindle format It was very convenient for customers Because they did not have to wait for the arrival of the book And the desired book come to them in minutes In November 2007, within six hours Kindle sold all the stocks and it was out of stock for the next five months Thanks to Kindle Reader, Amazon has captured 95 percent of e-book business in America Kindle proved to be very beneficial for the Amazon Company because it ended the hassle of shipping the books And books reader on kindle also became a permanent customer of amazon Today amazon sells all kind of products online other than books The website that started at small garage has its own identity throughout the world Today amazon has become a company of more than 536000 crores in Indian Rupees And in the world's most affluent people, Jeff position is at number three Jeff Bezos Saying that to do something new is the easiest way to succeed We move on very dark roads and sometimes we find things that really work I knew that if I failed, I would not regret But I knew this very well that there will be always regret of not trying So he tried and reached the peak of success!
